Metronome

I mentioned in my other blog that we went to CMA, the  music place where we bought our piano.  While we were there, we bought our  daughter a Metronome, a gadget that she can use to   check her  beats and  speed.  This cost $29.99 which isn't bad.  I am not sure if they have roland ac 33 for sale but you can look it up online if you need one.

My daughter's piano  teacher told her to master her timing, tempo and such also she suggested for us to buy her this metronome.

Levi's Jeans on Sale

I found some  new outfits for my daughter  on sale at Macy's.   She love to dress up so I  love it when I find  clothing  that are on sale rather than paying for the regular price.  I have been hitting the clearance section these past few days and  has been enjoying the  deals that I got.

The top was on sale for $3.99 and the Levi's jeans for  $16.99

My daughter  loves wearing jeans  and blouses just like me.  We both love to wear dresses on special occasion or when going to church.  My daughter is my shopping buddy, we love  trying on clothes while the men are wandering around in the shopping mall lol.

Ways to Get Thicker, Longer Hair

Do you dream about having thicker and longer hair? Are you sick of your flat and damaged roots? Most of us don’t even know how impaired our hair is until someone points it out to us, and by then it’s usually too late for a quick and simple fix. Adopting a good hair routine is a great way to get thicker, longer hair, and to create that healthy, shiny look you've been searching for. Transitions Hair can help you get the hair of your dreams, and the way to get it is not as hard as it seems.

Change The Way You Wash Your Hair

The first thing you need to do to get the thicker, longer hair you desire is to change the way you wash your hair. Washing your hair too often can cause it to dry out. Dry and brittle hair leads to breakage and can prevent it from growing thicker. Remember not to wash your hair more than three times a week, and stay away from hot water if you can. While in the shower, you need to stimulate your scalp by massaging it, which will boost circulation and blood flow to your follicles, increasing hair growth.

Towel Dry Your Hair As Gently As You Can

Do you wonder why your hair keeps breaking after you dry it? Chances are you’re probably drying it too roughly. Use a soft towel and gently pat it dry, allowing it to air dry instead of blowing it dry.

Style Your Hair Using Natural Techniques And Products

Styling your hair using natural techniques and products is a better way to keep your hair healthy and clean. Be sure to use straighteners and curling irons sparingly, or not at all. Use natural hairsprays and gels to give your hair a chance to grow thicker and stronger.

Protect Your Hair From The Sun

It is extremely important to protect your hair from the sun and cover it while in the pool or in areas of pollution. Your hair can become seriously damaged by repeated exposure, so it is advisable to wrap it up in a scarf or swim cap to prevent exposure.

Eat More Protein Enriched Foods

Your muscles, skin, hair, nails, and even your eyes are made of protein. This means the more protein you consume, the thicker your hair will be. This doesn’t mean you need to eat an abundance of meat, but you certainly need to consume a decent amount of protein to keep your body healthier. And the healthier your body is, the thicker and longer your hair is.

Eat More Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are the ‘good’ fats that contribute to healthier, shinier, thicker hair and clearer skin. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in foods such as salmon, avocados, nuts, and flaxseed oil, and can be consumed through fish oil spplements.
These tips are sure-fire ways to get the thicker, longer hair that you want. Try them out today!

Gucci Watch

My husband  gave me this  Gucci watch as a birthday gifts when I was still living in my country.  I love wearing it which you can tell because it has few scratches already.    After  10 years the battery died so I will need a  battery replacement for it.

When it comes to giving gifts, my husband is the generous one.  I  don't really give expensive gifts such as this as I can't afford it lol.  Hubby believe that when you give a gift, the receiver should be proud of it.  I agree with him but when you can't afford it, the practical items  that a person can use is enough, after all I do believe that "It's the thought that counts".

History of America

United States  is a place where a lot of foreigners wants to live in.   There are  many opportunities here and that's one of the many reasons why immigrants come here  even  back in the days.  I am learning about the history of  America as I  get ready  for my  upcoming interview and  I am learning  interesting facts.  Immigration is one  big  process that a lot of immigrant like me has to  go through.  The sad part is, most of us who come here legally has to spend  time and money in order to attain  our citizenship.  Some immigrant  are illegal and  their citizenship  has been granted to them its because they live here for so long that they do not need to go through the long immigration process.  Lucky for them and not for us but I am proud to say that we are doing it  the right way.  Anyway, if you're a US citizen and planning to immigrate somewhere like Turkey, this website can help you with the process https://www.ivisa.com/turkey-blog/turkey-visa-for-us-citizens .  I have a friend who is married to foreigner from that country and she finally got her citizenship after a long wait.

Halloween Costumes

I was not fortunate enough to get  costume for reviews but glad that I got some good deals out of the costume that my kids wanted for Halloween.  My son  wanted this Michael Jackson military costume
I also bought him this Afro  head piece/wear for $11.92.

I also that is what I bought.  It cost $2.90

For my daughter, she  liked this  Asian Princess costume.  It cost $14.32 and the Asian Fan for $1.90.

Overall, I paid $37.94 including shipping and handling fee.

Diamond Ring

When  hubby and I got married for the second time, he gave me this set of diamond  ring.

It is a set because it has a guard ring,  I usually just wear the  main ring because it is simply elegant but I do agree that the set is beautiful.

When hubby told me how much this cost, I almost passed out lol.  My wrinkly  fingers does not really  deserve such an expensive ring but I am so happy I have one.  Diamonds are women's best friend right?

I remember when I lost this  once.  I always put it in my  computer table when I take them off and one day, I was horrified when I couldn't find it.  My son thought it was one of the  rings that her sister has so  he put it in the pile of things that we are going to sell in a garage sale.  I felt so relieved when I found it there and told my  son not to mess with it again.  I also learned  a valuable lesson not to put  a valuable item in my computer desk.  It was totally my fault and no one else but me to blame  for it.  I keep it in a secure place now and just  take it out when I want to wear it.

Globe for only $8.00

I have been wanting to buy a  globe but to buy a new one, it cost a bit.  I looked at one at  Goodwill  and even  there was still pricey for me so I did not buy it.  A couple of weeks ago, we were driving by  at  one  part of the area and saw a charity sale of different stuff.  I saw  the globe and told my husband to stop by as we were going somewhere that day.  My husband could not make the turn as it was  too late.  He said that  we'll drop by when we come back and so we did.  Gladly, the globe was still there.  It was priced $10 but I asked if they would accept $5 for it and the lady said that she would take $8.

My daughter absolutely love it as she is very interested in learning  different places around the world.  What I like about this globe is that, it is topographic so you can see which part of the world is mountainous because the texture in the map is different.

I am so glad that I found this  one and got it for a very low price.  It is not  new but there's still of use  left to it.

My kids are very interested in  looking at the different countries in Europe and Asia.

5 Reasons Why it is Important to Keep Your Rug Clean

Keeping your rug clean is probably something that you would think would come naturally to people, but often as life gets busy, and we have so many other things to do, we might forget to ensure that the rug is cleaned regularly by a professional. Having your rug cleaned properly will ensure that it gets deep into the rug so it isn't hiding any nasties anywhere inside it, that may cause allergies. Here are 5 reasons why it is important to keep your rug clean.

Lasts Longer

One major reason to get your rug cleaned professionally at least once a year is to ensure that you get maximize life out of it. If you fail to get it cleaned regularly it will build up with dust, dirt and other bits and pieces which will be gradually breaking down the rug, so ensure that you always keep your rug as clean as you can.

Won’t Smell

Depending on the rug that you choose, (and yes there are some rugs that may start to smell due to humidity), regular cleaning should help it stay smelling as sweet as the day you bought it. For some rugs that are affected by absorbing moisture, you should make a point of airing them out at least once a week, to ensure that they are kept as dry as possible.

Looks Great

Like anything, if you make an effort to keep your rug as clean as possible then it will always look as good as possible, even if it is a really old rug. Some rugs can last many, many years simply by caring for them appropriately and having them cleaned by a professional cleaner. Just vacuuming your rug will help it to stay looking fairly clean, but to really get it looking as clean as it can, you should aim to have it shampooed professionally at least once a year, to keep it looking great.

Clean Spills Straight Away

One way to ensure that your rug lasts, and still looks great for a long time, is to clean spills straight away. That old trick about pouring white wine over red wine actually does work, but after you have neutralized the red with the white wine you will need to shampoo the rug, otherwise it will simply smell like white wine. After a few weeks that smell will start to become a really foul odor so always clean spills straight away, and use a good quality carpet shampoo (or get them professionally cleaned) to make sure that you are really getting into the deeper layers of the rug.

Mold Spores

One thing that people might not be aware of is that if you are not getting your rug professionally cleaned regularly it could end up containing mold spores, which will mean that it causes issues for people with allergies. Mold spores can occur in a carpet if it has been wet and has not dried properly, so ensure that you get your carpet cleaned deeply if this has happened. There is more information about keeping carpets clean available on this site.

Shopping as a Stress Reliever

October is almost over already.  Time do fly by so fast, doesn't it?  I feel like I ma running out of time to learn the things that I need to know before my big day next month.  It is giving me anxiety already wahhh.  I am a big chicken when it comes to  stuff like this but I  have to do it.  I can't even make a   Christmas list  which I normally do right about this time but  I will do that when I get  done with this important thing that I need to do.  For the mean time,  if you are looking for a lace to order a photo canvas, try checking http://www.photo4canvas.co.nz or try searching it online as there are many companies that offer this kind of photo services these days.

By the way, if you ever wonder  how much Shipping Container cost, check out the link and you will know.  Sorry if my topic is all over the place,  I am like that when I am stressed out.  I want to forget the main cause of my stress for a while and I just want to  talk about different things like this website http://www.amediate.co.nz that offer  metal fabrication services.

My husband knows it too when I am stressed out so he  always brings the kids and take it somewhere  with him so I could   have an alone time and do my stuff.  They went to the store a while ago as I was starting to get  agitated and now they are back.  He told me  that  the saleslady in the store they went to was giving him attitude lol.  Poor hubby, got to deal with my attitude at home and when he goes out, he has to deal with the attitude of other peeps as well.  The good thing is he got all the necessary  products that we need for this week so we are good.  I am planning to go to bed early tonight so I could have a good night's rest.  I will be  focusing on reviewing my stuff beginning tomorrow so I will be ready.  I hope I'd be able to do it.

I wish I am like other people  who  shops in order to  relieve stress.  Even shopping stresses me out hahaha.

Pumpkin

When we went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weekends ago, we  bought this 30-pound pumpkin.  I really did not want to buy pumpkin there because it's a little pricey but the kids wanted to buy  some so we did get this one for $12.

Last weekend, we went to  the store and saw  their pumpkins on sale and the same size that we got at  Janoski was only $3.50 at Walmart, argghhh.  I told my husband, "See we should just bought  pumpkin here".  Hubby said "Oh well".

Coupon, Deals, Sale, Budgeting, etc.

Finding deals is what at least I could do as a stay at home Mom to help our family budget in line.  You just have to know when to get the deals and where to find it.  This is the time of the year  where  plants are   usually on sale so I always wants to go to the garden  store  to find some great deals.  Here are some of the plants I bought for less.

These miniature roses  usually cost  $16.98 but I got them for $2.70.  What I love about these roses is that, it  is low maintenance and they come back every year.  It's a ground cover roses  which is perfect to use in front of border  plantings and makes a beautiful statement when it drapes naturally over the rock or edge.  It has great flower power and  disease resistance.  I have a lot of these in my front yard.

This pink knock out rose  seems to be dying already but I got it  revived.  It is now doing well in my yard.  I got this on sale as well ($2.70).   I have to share this deal that I found online that you might be interested in.  Enjoy!

Battery Replacement

I am so glad that we sold out our truck.  It was  constantly  an added expense to us especially during winter because the batter would die and  my husband can not even start the engine.  It was a huge relief for me as I don't have to pay for the insurance  and certainly do not  have to worry about the maintenance expenses.  Now, the truck  was a history.  I just remember it because I receive a recall notice from Ford  about some of it's parts that need to be looked at and replaced.

Pack is for one ups, (2) 12V 18AH BatteriesBut anyway, when you are shopping for an apc rbc7 replacement, you might want to check out Battery Wholesale website.  They have different kinds of batteries  for  Scooter, Jet Ski, Go Kart, and many more.  They offer wholesale prices with m no minimum order required.  They ship worldwide which is an advantage because you can practically order  wherever you may be.  So check them out for whatever kind of battery need you have in mind.

Speaking of which, I will  mention this to my brother as he might find the battery that he is looking for.  Maybe, he will be able to order it from the Philippines since they ship worldwide.  Gotta love companies that offer worldwide shipping because it gives the customers from other countries the chance to buy the things that they need even  if they are miles and miles away.

Rewards for Kids

We rewarded our kids for small things for getting  all hundreds in their tests.  Both of these items are under ten dollars.
For the little Miss, this is what she wanted, a Rubik's Cube
For the Little Man, he wanted a wristwatch so we got  him this talking wristwatch.
This is our way of motivating them to do good in school. Even if the rewards are just small things, it does help them to do better every time.  How about you, do you reward your kids for their achievement in school?

5 Tips to Teach Your Kid How to Ride

You know that saying, it’s just like riding a bike, when you think about doing something you haven’t done in a while but innately remember, like your muscles and sensory patterns are hard-wired to recall the right sequences of movements, balance and exertion required? It used to really annoy me. I found it difficult at first, finding my proverbial feet on two wheels, jealous of my brothers talent for the superman or the suspended bunny hop over the make shift jump he’d constructed on our down-hill driveway. But then, I got it. I woke up one day and suddenly I figured out the missing ingredient in riding a bike – Confidence. Now, as I watch my niece struggle on her training wheels, disheartened by the lack of progress and slow pace of her pistoning little legs, I remember it’s a rite of passage we all must go through.
Training wheels Off
Time goes rolls and you’re now in the position of the teacher, the patient mentor standing on the sidelines as your children or child make heads or tails of the handle bars, brakes and the frustration of not quite getting it. While there is no right or wrong pace to teach children this skill for life (and it does last for life, damn saying), there are certain methods you can employ to make sure they learn with self-assurance.

Discard the Training Set

Training wheels are fantastic for little kids trundling after their parents on family rides; they provide security and time for the kid to familiarize themselves with the bikes saddle and the coordination required to pedal. There comes a point however where you’ll need to take these helpers off and let them find their balance, lowering the seat so their feet can touch the ground. Ask the kids to coast the bike, using their feet to brake when needed until they’re confident.
So Happy with her Accomplishment  Riding a Bike without the Training Wheels

Take it By Degrees

Even after you remove the training wheels, you still must supervise. Ask your child to check their bike before they mount, testing the pedals, rotate the wheels and trying the axel for any resistance. After everything is okay, ask them to strap on their helmet and change their shoes, if they aren’t wearing good, study rubber soled sneakers. Give them a push, holding the back of the seat and motivate them to pedal, letting go when they have a decent momentum, running alongside in case they get into trouble. Soon, they won’t want your help, as their balance and confidence increases.

Going in Circles

Cornering can be pretty tricky if they’ve only been practicing in straight lines, but kids are pretty smart. Turn it into a competition and set up an obstacle course, incentivising with a favorite activity – figure eights, zig zags and orange cones will build their skill set as you raise the difficulty level.
Do you have any tips for other parents out there, facing the same challenges as they guide their children through a modern childhood lesson? What bike would you recommend for a first-timer? Where did you buy your child’s bike, a place like 99 Bikes or a local favorite? Let us know in the comments below.

I am loving this new item that I got from Shoplet.com. They sent me this Artistic Rhinolin Desk Pad (AOPLT41S).  It is an ultra smooth writing  surface desk pad  infused with Microban antimicrobial protection that helps  protect your gadget.  This is my first time to have  one of these Desk Pads   and I told myself "Why didn't i get this long time ago?"  Yeah, you know that thought  when you suddenly realize that   a smiple thing can make a big difference in doing your ob.

Other features include   the non-glare satin finish which reduces eyestrain and is comfortable under pen.Aside from protecting  your desktop, it also beautifies your working space.
