Snap Dragon

I wonder why this flower is called or named snap dragon? Any idea?

They get their name from the fact that you can gently squeeze the sides of the intricately shaped flower and see the jaws of a dragon head snap closed.

You know, I don't know why it's called that but they are beautiful. And, this shot in particular is gorgeous. These were my Mom's favorite flower.
