Globe for only $8.00

I have been wanting to buy a  globe but to buy a new one, it cost a bit.  I looked at one at  Goodwill  and even  there was still pricey for me so I did not buy it.  A couple of weeks ago, we were driving by  at  one  part of the area and saw a charity sale of different stuff.  I saw  the globe and told my husband to stop by as we were going somewhere that day.  My husband could not make the turn as it was  too late.  He said that  we'll drop by when we come back and so we did.  Gladly, the globe was still there.  It was priced $10 but I asked if they would accept $5 for it and the lady said that she would take $8.

My daughter absolutely love it as she is very interested in learning  different places around the world.  What I like about this globe is that, it is topographic so you can see which part of the world is mountainous because the texture in the map is different.

I am so glad that I found this  one and got it for a very low price.  It is not  new but there's still of use  left to it.

My kids are very interested in  looking at the different countries in Europe and Asia.

I like maps, paper maps. But there is indeed something special about a globe.

We used to have one back in the Philippines. Hubby keeps on teasing me that I should get one because I always got disoriented with the location of countries. lol.

I don't mind getting second hand because I always believe that "one man's trash is another man's treasure".

That is a great way for your kids to learn more about what other countries there are in a globe.

Lucky you, mommy! Great buy. I am also looking for more Globes because I want them for my kids room someday when we finally get to settle in our own house and can decorate. I love the old ones. It is nice she is interested in Globes and learning about it.

I have been wanting to get a globe too. Just like you said, it is pricey. I guess, I should look into thrift stores and garage sales.
