Cherries

Last week, these cherries were  $2.48 a pound at Walmart but when we checked it this weekend, the price was lowered to $1.98 a pound,  so we bought some.
I am glad that we tried it because they were so sweet.  We are planning to buy some more as the kids love it!
Do you like cherries?

Pick-A-Size

What kind of paper towel do you usually buy? We always buy the "Pick-A- Size" kind.
We like this specific brand because they support the nation heroes & their families.  The maker of Brawny paper towels , Georgia Pacific,  admires and respect many forms of  strength - from strength of muscles and mind to strength of convictions and characters, hence they partnered to the Wounded  Warrior Project to benefit the wounded warriors and their families.

The wounded warrior Project honors, empowers, and encourages warriors as they recover and transition back to civilian life.
Just a shout out of "Thank You" to Ms. Kim for sending me a post card!

Boiled egg Slicer

I bought this  boiled egg slicer last  weekend.  The wires cut even and clean slices which is great for garnishing salads and other dishes.

Home Haircutting with WAHL

When my husband attended school in Japan for two weeks (we were living in South Korea then), he bought this Home Haircutting with WAHL set. Since then, he never went to the barber shop anymore. We  cut each other's hair which is a big savings in our budget. The set cost more than $20 but its so worth it. Imagine how much savings it gives us, just for hubby's hair cut, it cost $12 plus tip so it saves us like $15 a month just for his hair cut.
This kit includes everything including the oil for cleaning, trimming  the back of the ears, and all kinds of cuts.

Anti-Pull Harness

Our Jack Russel Terrier, Champ, love to pull  the leash when we take him for a walk.  We seldom  take him because  you won't enjoy the walk at all.  To solve the problem, we bought this anti-pull harness.
This is a good one to have if you have a heavy to moderate puller dog like we have.  It stops the pulling instantly.
The first time we took him, he tried to pull but the harness tightened up and he got scared so he stops.  From then on, he just walk with us.

Granite End Tables for $8

I bought these set of  granite tables at  our neighbor who are  getting ready to move so they are  trying to get rid as much stuff  that they have.  One of it is in perfect condition but the other needs screws underneath but it's still a steal deal for me because I only paid $8 for the two.  Hubby bought some screws for $2.95 and re-painted the legs.  They looked brand new now.
Now I have  some end tables at our front porch.

Birthday Splash was a Blast

Instead of going to the amusement as we  originally planned, we went to my brother-in-law's house in Chester to celebrate our daughter's  7th birthday.   It was more fun because  her cousins attended and they bond with her on  the special occasion.  I was glad  too because it could  have been very exhausting  to do a lot of walking in the amusement park on that very hot day.  Having the pool party took care of the  hot weather  and we got to  chit chat and catch up with family.  I'd say that the birthday splash was a blast!

Sweet Corn

My kids are ecstatic that the corn they planted is now starting to bloom.  I bought a pack of corn seed at a store because they really wanted to experience planting  some corn.
Now, it would be cheaper to just buy  some corn in the store especially now that it's on sale,  but the fact that my kids wanted to experience planting it is  worth every dime we paid. Did you know that the main  pigment in Yellow Indian corn is called zeaxanthin?  According to crosswordsolver.org zeaxanthin is the yellow carotenoid (isomeric with lutein and occurs widely with it) in the said corn.

Baby Bunny

Another  pet?  No, we did not buy  another one but we rescued this baby bunny  in our street because the cat was  getting ready to attack him.  We put him in the cage for half a day and let him go in  the woods  when it got dark so the cat won't be able to find him.

Jigsaw Puzzle in Progress

A very good friend of mine from Texas sent me a 2,000-piece  jigsaw puzzle.  Ms. Burrito immediately  opened it  when  she saw it in the box.  I wasn't really going to start it yet as I know once I start I won't be able to stop until it's done.  But she insisted so I let her started it.
The setting of the picture is a  stone ground corn meal, with railroad and train on the background.  I will reveal if there is a yardmaster on this  setting.
We use our dining table to   do it as it is pretty big.  These were taken   a couple of days ago  and we made big progress.  I would say that we are 85% done.  My problem would be to find a  big frame  for this one.  I might ask  hubby to make me one if I can't find it in the store.

Update:  We finished it already.
