Google Notebook

During the special assembly that the school together with Google have put together to reveal our daughter's winning design, Google also sent the school 250 pieces of shirts and notebooks. Each student were given a shirt and a notebook.
Doodle4Google was printed inside the bottom of the notebook.
At the top was the them for this year "If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place"
Over-all, it was a great experience not only for our daughter but for the whole school!
I thought that it wads really good of the Google company to provide all these.  Voting ends tonight and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the 10 days hard work I put in inviting people to vote would be enough for her to win in her age category (K-3).

Awesome Accessories to Brighten up Your Bedroom

We all know about spring cleaning – out with the old, in with the new, brightening up the house – but what about the bedroom? If you feel your bedroom furnishings are boring, you can always breathe new life into it with some awesome accessories that will brighten up the room. These simple suggestions are extremely easy to do, and won’t put a hole in your wallet.

Buy a Map and Mark Where You’ve Been

This great idea is not only functional but also looks good on your wall. If you’re a bit of a globetrotter, simply cross off each country you’ve visited and place a tick on the country you want to go to next. For a more innovative tip, paint the map silver then scratch off each country as you visit.

Change your Mattress

Feeling confused? How is a mattress going to change how you feel about you bedroom? The reality is that knowing you have a brand new, shiny, customised mattress will make you feel perkier, prouder and keen to spend as much time as possible in bed. After all, the right mattress can do wonders for your sleeping patterns! For more information, visit Latex Mattress.

Create Your Own Cork Board

If you’re looking for a creative project that’ll not only look good, but also be useful, creating your own cork board is the way to go. All you need is a couple dozen actual corks from wine bottles, which is a pretty good excuse to drink a lot of wine! You can also ask your friends to save their corks if you’re not willing to buy the bottles yourself.

Buy Some Blackboard Paint, Or A Blackboard Sticker

Is your room covered in post- it-notes or scraps of paper? Need somewhere to write everything down where you can see it every day? Why not get some blackboard paint, or buy a blackboard sticker? They’re perfect for jotting down notes without having to hunt down some paper, and they look good, too!

Create Photo Frames out of Coloured or Patterned Tape

Framed photos of one’s friends and family look great in a bedroom, however the frames themselves can often get a little expensive if you have a lot of photos. To save money, you can simply frame them yourself using coloured paper or patterned tape. Add stickers or glitter to make them stand out more.

Install an Invisible Shelf for Your Books

Invisible shelves are a great idea for those who have little room for conventional bookshelves. By simply attaching them to your walls they give the impression that they are floating. Watch your friends and family do a double take upon entering the room!

Buy Some Fairy lights

Fairy lights can add a lovely romantic ambience to your bedroom. Use them during the day to brighten up the room, or during the night for a warmer tone. Simply arrange them around your bed, mirror, or window, and watch them transform your room. They’re also really cheap, so you can buy as much as you want.

These awesome accessories are a great way to brighten up your bedroom. They’re cool, creative, clever, and can potentially save you a lot of money. Do you have any ideas to share? Did a small change make a big difference for you? Remember to comment below.
