Cardinal Visit

Male cardinals are brighter in color than the female ones. I think that male cardinals are  gorgeous than the female ones, don't you think?
We put out a new block of suet seeds last week and we got  many bird  visitors in one day. Unfortunately, I only captured this cardinal because the blue jays, wood pecker, and the other cardinal was on the far left side of our fence where we put the seeds.

Bonding Time

One of the many  Mom and daughter boning that my wife and daughter  does once in a while is   painting their nails.  Last weekend, when my  our daughter was not feeling really good, my wife  lighten up her mood by  cleaning and painting her nails.  It helped to cheer her up a little.  Our daughter is a  lady-like type of girl and she love this kind of pampering from her Mom.  It also provides a good  bonding time for both of them.   Sometimes I laugh whenever I hear my daughter tell her mom stuff like  crystal nail files, nail polish, types of  ponytail to use and all that kind of girl stuff.  It's fun to  have both   a girl and a boy in the family because you get to see the different  sides of the two.  I can't wait till my son is big enough to play football so I can  have  a one on one boding with him with boy stuff too.  My son is very interested in  playing baseball  so I am excited to  see   other interest that he may have in the future.  I hope that both of them will be athletic and be active to school activities.

Just one of the neat arts I found at Dad's basement.
The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection.

Safe Baby Carrier

When I had my first baby, we bought a baby backpack carrier  but I only used it once or twice then I gave it to a friend.  Then when we went to  the land of the morning calm, we needed one because  we went hiking to one of the mountains in Korea.  Luckily, one of the Moms inside the military base was very kind to lend us  hers.  Our climb to Mt. Jiri was a smooth one  because  my son was comfortable with the safe baby carrier.  It was  an easy transition for us too as my husband carried our son on his back during the hike.
Baby Carrying  is easier  if you have the right  carrier for your child just like the scootababy .  If you are looking for  a good  baby carrier, you should  visit any of the links I have provided above.  The website have a very nice selections  of  this product.  Baby carrier is  a common thing in  Korea, I saw a lot of mothers using this kind of product in almost two years that we lived there.

Fiesta Display

When I saw this display, it brings back memories of my childhood.  It looks  like the decoration in the place where I grew up in during fiesta only without the globes.  Photo was taken in the "The Land" attraction in  EPCOT, Disney World.

Example

If you exert extra time and effort to bond with your kids, you are setting a very good example and they  will remember it when they become parents too.   My husband make sure that he  has time to  play with our kids,  teach them  things that they need to  learn, and tell them  how good his father (my FIL) is to  them.  That's one reason why,  our Burritos adore  their Dad very much!
My husband  had this  mighty mouse  cape as a kid so I thought of preserving it by  framing it.  I folded it to fit into the frame.  Mr. Burrito asked if he can have it so I removed it from this frame.  He said that I can re-frame it again when he is done with it.

UPROMISE

UPROMISE is a  company online that let parents  save for their kids college education  through  participating with their programs.  They have a list of  merchants where you can shop and then earn a percentage of the amount you spent and goes through your kids fund.   They  automatically deposit your earning through your kids 529 account when you link it to your account in UPROMISE.

My husband and I are both  members of this company and we   gain a little bit by shopping through them.  I earn most  by taking survey at their  partner company, eRewards.  I am a stay at home mom so I take  every opportunity  that I can do online that worth my time.  My earnings at UPROMISE goes to our daughter's 529 Plan but  with hubby, we redeemed it through check and deposit it to the kids savings.  You can check it out if you want to start saving for your kids college.  It's free to join.  The good thing is, the whole family can help save  when they do their shopping through the said website.

Rivalry

Our Jack Russel Terrier, Champ, was not very happy when we brought home the new addition, a Toy Fox Terrier, Maximus.  For a while there, Champ doesn't have to do anything with Max.  We slowly work on it and told Champ that he would be  his  buddy  from now on.
A couple of days ago, my wife  saw Champ in his chair so she put Max there too.  Champ was ignoring him at first.  Max made his way to be closer to him.
Every time Champ would growl, We told him him not too.
He finally settled and let Max be part of his territory.
He gets uneasy when  Max touches his ball or uses his chair.  I think that the rivalry will  soon vanish.  Champ needs a little more time to get fully acquainted with Max.

Smokey Shots at Spectacular Journey into the Movies

These are some of the shots I took inside the Spectacular Journey into the Movies at Hollywood Studios.  Taking photos are allowed provided that the flash is off.
Photos are hazy but I like how it looked.
This attraction was a bit boring for the kids but the ride was fine.  Disney World is a fun place to explore but you have to  have a lot of time to see everything.

Ms. Burrito laid out all her barbie dolls with different positions. According to her, they are doing some gymnastic moves hehehe.  No wonder the barbies stays slim lol.   Pink Saturday
