Celosia?

My sister has a lot of this flowers in front of her house and they are in full bloom now. She gave some to my wife and they are also starting to bloom. I am not sure if this flower is called celosia? Does anyone know?

yes, they are celosia and they make wonderful dried flowers.

there are lots of photos of Celosia and one that looks very similar to this one, but I'm not sure either if it is the same one. It's about the fourth photo down on the left. Hope this helps in identifying it.

A lovely vibrant, hot pink. I think it's also known as cock's comb because it looks like the comb on the top of a rooster's head.
