One of the many things I like about the Philippines is the transportation system. You can pretty much go anywhere even if you don't own a car. Transportation means there is very easy and you get to pick what kind of vehicle you want to ride depending on your destination. During my kids' first visit there, they love riding the tricycles and jeepneys hehehe.
In some places, car hire is more advantageous over buying your own vehicle. Just like the example I gave you on top, it is more cheaper to ride a public vehicle than to have your own. I remember when I first stationed in the Philippines, I hired this taxi the whole day and it did not cost me a lot compared to the expense I would incur if I own the car and drive it myself. You get to enjoy the scenery without worrying about driving.
