Our Dancer

EJ love watching the Teen Titan show and he loves to dance with its tune too. Please watch a short clip that I recorded. My wife said that EJ reminds her of her youngest brother Nick when he was a kid because he love dancing on top of the table too.

Aqua Fun

We went to my sister's house and swam at her swimming pool the other day. I was amazed that EJ learned how to swim so quick. I didn't learn how to swim until I was like 8 or 9 years old. Here's my son, he is only three and he can swim already.

My sister gave them a treat, an ice crea cone which they truly enjoy! Thanks Chris!

Attack

This Robin is very protective f her kids. My wife was in the yard yesterday and she was trying to take picture of the babies of the sparrow that was inside the bird's house but since the robin has babies adjacent to it, she kept attacking my wife. She didn't really hit her but she was flying near her, kinda like saying "Stop what you are doing and leave us alone."
Have a happy weekend everyone!

Apple and Plum - ApPlum?

These are two fruit bearing trees that I like to have in my yard. Well, we already have the apple at our backyard. The deers love it and sometimes our neighbor picked them and make it into apple pie.
My wife and daughter love to eat them fresh as they are sweet.
This plum tree is at our family friend's yard. It is loaded with fruits now and she told my wife that we can pick them when they're ready as she doesn't know what to do with it. My sister Chris can make pretty awesome jelly out of plum so we will take it hehehe.
Thanks for visiting my friends!

My Dad's Youngest Sister

When we decided to go down hoopie last month, it wasn't planned at all. We left at 12 noon which was kinda late considering the amount of travel we have to take. I thought for sure that my Dad won't go with us because he never want to travel anymore, but my daughter and wife use their charisma to encourage him to go. I was surprised that he went with us without any excuses at all. I guess he misses her youngest sister who lives down there.
Aunt Carol is my father's youngest sister, she's the only one who lives where all of them grew up.
Nothing can compare of the laughter and happiness you feel when you see someone whose dear to you. That's what I saw at my father's face when we went and see Aunt Carol. It's been so long since they saw each other.
I just wish that we could have went there earlier, it could have give my dad and his sister a long time to chat with each other. But it was fun and all of us enjoyed it. The kids had so much fun exploring the wilderness of the nature.

Happy father's Day!

I want to share this article that my wife sent me from Dayspring newsletter.
A Father's Loves

A father is respected because
he gives his children leadership...
appreciated because
he gives his children care...
valued because
he gives his children time...
loved because
he gives his children the one thing
they treasure most - himself.

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7 NKJV

Horse or Deer Fly

My Dad's car had a little mechanical problem a couple of days ago so I was trying to find out what was wrong with it when I heard a loud buzzing sound. I looked around and found this huge horse fly (that's what it looks like to me but I'm not sure). I hurried up and trapped it in a container that i saw at his garage. I brought it in the front porch and showed it to the kids.
I remember when I was a kid, I got bitten by a horse fly when I was in the swimming pool and it hurt like hell.
My sister thinks that it's a Deer fly (she claims they are much bigger than a horse fly) but I've never seen a deer fly or even heard of one for that matter. Whichever creature this is, I am glad that he didn't bite anyone, especially the kids.

Popsicle Break

This yellow bike is a gift by my sister to EJ's 3rd birthday but we were in Korea back then. When we came home here, we opened the box and our daughter fell in love with it. She's been using it since. Here's some snaps where she was taking a break and eating Popsicle but she did not want to get off the bike.
These were taken when our backyard wasn't fence yet. Now that it's fenced, even my wife ride this bike lol.

Nostalgia # 5 - My Navy Mugs

My wife collects mugs, so I grabbed a few navy mugs for her. Before she came here in the States, she sent some of her mug collection in order to preserve it. Some of you might have seen some of it on her blog. (This is a repost again.. I know I am bad with this lol). But I love this post because it brings so much memories when I was still in the Navy.

The one on the left is the Lone Sailor and on the right it's a Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh.

The mugs flanking our DMZ barbwire are from the USS Frank Cable (AS-40), frosted beer mug on the left and a royal blue coffee mug on the right.

The beer mugs flanking my Republic of Korea Turtle ship are the 2009 Navy Ball on the left and a Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh on the right.

Here I have five Republic of Korea Navy tea cups, each with a different ship from the ROK navy.

It is so nice to have some personalized mugs because it brings back memories and it also tells different stories. Do you collect mugs too?

Dove's Haven

My Dad has trumpet vine at his backyard and the birds just love hanging out there. Last week, we looked in there to see if there is a nest and there we saw the morning dove just sitting in her nest. We don't really see if she has eggs because we never saw her leave the nest. Everyday, my wife would check if she leave but she's there every time.
I think other bird will fly away if someone would take a peek in their nest just like Robins do. But this dove is so brave, she would just stare at you and open up her wings, just like saying "Get outta here!"
Everyday, she also have different position. She is rotating inside the nest. I wonder if she is hatching already.
