Sailor of the Year award

Hello there folks, I am a guest postie here. My name is Rose and I am the sailor's mistress and ex-girlfriend... in short I am his wife (for those who don't know yet) lol. My husband does not want to post his award in here because of a wrong notion that some people might think.

He does not want you guys to think that he is showing off his award. He was chosen as a "Sailor of the Year" awardee in their command and I am so proud of it. You deserve it Hon, with all your hard work and dedication, I think you deserve all the awards in the world. Am I exaggerating? No, because my husband really is a hard worker and a very dedicated one to his job!
I took these photos when he arrived and said "I got something for you."
I am glad that in six months, he will be completely out of the Navy. He will start his terminal leave in December and that's when we will go back to the mainland. Can't wait for that day!

The Deep Blue Sea

This is a photo of the USS Frank Cable and an oiler in the process of an underway replenishment. I really enjoyed sailing the Pacific Ocean and surrounding seas, the water was so blue in certain areas that it was absolutely mesmerizing. I really developed an appreciation for the sea and I fully understand why the old school sailors, hundreds of years ago, were driven by the sea. It's mysterious, magnificient, and dangerous and it's something that gets into your soul.
